Herman grew up in a very strict noble household. He was open about his sexuality and uninterest in women romantically, making them force him into an arranged marriage to a woman he knew when they were children. They never did get along, always butting heads. Her ideals were opposite from his own. She had a friend group that always picked on Herman for his obsessions.He fought back as much as he could against his family. His fiancé was disgusted with his behavior, taking the Zeeman noble's side, to try to get their way with Herman to change his ways.He grew into a weak feeble man, but ran away to join up with a great young inventor Alva Lorenz. He had met him in university, having a crush since before marriage. It was love at first sight and the more they talked, the harder he fell.Herman was drunk the night of his wedding, the only way to conceive a child. His wife was not thrilled either, only marrying him to unite the two noble families and spread the prestige. She saw herself as superior to her husband and would rather have someone equal to her.Herman loved his son Luca Balsa and wanted to take him far away from his manipulative and toxic household but his wife wouldn't allow it. She spread lies to Luca of him. Of how horrible a man he was, how weak he was. Despite that, Herman never stopped thinking of Luca. Hoping one day he would learn the truth. He had no regrets, selling his wife's belongings.His crush on Alva was always something he kept to himself, fearing losing his best friend. Fearing unrequited love.He tried being as open as he could with Alva without telling him he loved him. He wrote him poetry, made hidden messages of love to him, was very touchy with him. He never wished to stray from his side. Alva was the only one he trusted, who understood him.Herman received an invitation to Oletus Manor, with promises that he would get what he most desired. Alva Lorenz' heart, and success for his perpetual motion machine. He spent 2 years in that manor and sent the money he made, to Alva.Little did he know. The manor drove him insane. He wouldn't listen to logical reason, stuck in his own head.The perpetual motion machine created an explosion that killed him. His greatest regret was never telling Luca he loved him, or Alva.Herman was resurrected by Baron DeRoss, now as a hunter in the manor. He plays the "game" to win a new life, new start. This time, when he meets Alva he will confess his love. He will aplogize to both him and Luca.
